Portal Open Access Publishing provides information on the possibilities of open access publication of scientific articles in scientific journals, in accordance with Decree on the Implementation of Scientific Research Work in Accordance with the Principles of Open Science (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 59/23 and 39/25). On the portal you can find funder policies and requirements in Slovenia and in the European Research Area on open access publishing, how to make scientific publications openly available Electronic publishing and open access to research results bring many benefits, but also pitfalls of poor publishing practices. These practices include predatory journals, fake conferences and misleading metrics.

Decree In Articles 3 and 9, it prescribes the modalities of open access publication of scientific articles and monographs and the eligibility of open access publication costs. We have prepared scientific journal finder, that are eligible for open access publication under the Regulation. In addition to the reading, the consortia have also paid in advance for vouchers for open access publications. In this list, users can keep track of the indicative number of vouchers available for open access publications.

The portal also includes a search engine of the DOAJ Open Access Journal Lists, the most comprehensive collection of open access scientific journals with transparent credibility and quality criteria. With this search engine, you can find the right journal for your publication in Gold and Diamond Journals. We have also specifically highlighted Slovenian scientific journals that are suitable for open access publication of your articles.

Portal Open Access Publishing is currently being piloted and will be further developed. In the future, we will also add information and recommendations on the possibilities of open access publication of scientific monographs.
