The Centre is open to the scientific research community and other audiences. It encourages and supports the use of open science practices in research and public involvement in scientific research processes. It was created within the framework of Action 6.2.1/4 (Knowledge and skills for open science) of the Open Science Action Plan, and the implementers of the Action are the University Library Maribor of the University of Maribor, the University Library of the University of Primorska, the University Library of the University of Nova Gorica and the Central Technical Library at the University of Ljubljana.
